Machine vision Inspection · OCR · Code reading

Cameras that check every part, every second, every shift.

Human inspectors get tired by the third hour. A vision system does not. We design, install and support camera inspection that catches defects at the station - and keeps the picture to prove it.

  • Trial on your own parts
  • PLC reject & interlock
  • Image & result traceability

What our vision systems inspect

One camera station can run several checks on the same part, in a fraction of a second.

Presence & absence

Missing clips, bolts, O-rings, labels or components caught before the part moves on.

Defect & surface inspection

Scratches, dents, burrs, cracks, porosity, stains and colour variation.

Dimension & position

Diameters, gaps, hole positions and orientation measured without contact.

OCR & print verification

Date, lot and batch codes read and checked against what should be printed.

Barcode & DataMatrix

1D and 2D codes read - including laser-marked DataMatrix on metal - and graded.

Label verification

Right label, right part, right content, readable and straight.

Assembly verification

Every component present, the right variant and correctly seated.

Robot guidance & sorting

Locate parts for pick-and-place, and sort by type, colour or grade.

The complete station

Not just a camera - a working inspection station

Most vision projects fail on lighting, mounting or the line interface, not on the camera. We take responsibility for the whole station.

  • Camera, lens & lighting chosen for your part, finish and speed.
  • Inspection software with recipes per part variant and operator-friendly screens.
  • PLC interlock & reject - stop, divert or flag bad parts automatically.
  • Image logging - every result stored with its picture for audits and customer complaints.
  • Traceability - results tied to the part's serial or batch barcode, and shared with MES or SAP.

How a project runs

Proven on your parts before you commit

Study

We see the line, the cycle time and the defects that matter to your customer.

Feasibility trial

Your good and bad samples tested in our lab; you see the results.

Build & install

Station, software, PLC and reject installed and validated on your line.

Train & support

Operators and maintenance trained; recipes added as your parts change.

Where it pays back

Built for lines where an escape is expensive

Automotive components

Zero-defect expectations, part-level traceability and customer audits.

Gears, shafts & machined parts

Dimension, burr and marking checks at machining and assembly.

Packaging & labelling

Right label on the right box, readable codes and correct counts.

Electronics & electricals

Component presence, connector pins and print verification.

Consumer goods & footwear

Colour, pairing, logo and surface checks at speed.

Pharma & food packing

Batch, expiry and seal checks on every pack.

FAQ

Vision system questions

What can a machine vision system inspect?

Presence or absence of parts and features, surface defects such as scratches, dents and burrs, dimensions and positions, printed text and date/lot codes (OCR), barcodes and 2D DataMatrix codes, labels, and whether an assembly has every component in the right place.

Can it reject bad parts automatically?

Yes. The result goes to the line PLC, which stops the station, diverts the part or triggers a reject mechanism - and every result can be logged with its image.

Do you test on our parts before we buy?

Yes. We run a feasibility trial on your actual good and defective parts and share the results before the system is finalised.

Can results be linked to traceability or SAP?

Yes. Results and images are stored against the part's serial or batch barcode, and shared with our traceability, production monitoring and SAP integration systems.
